As a producer of the home-grown brand Yokohama Batteries, Yokohama Industries Berhad formerly known as Tai Kwong - Yokohama Berhad has evolved from a battery reconditioning and repairing business into fully integrated manufacturer. Our highly advanced production plant which is equipped with the latest technology in machinery is located on a 32-acre site located in Semenyih, Selangor. Yokohama Batteries has managed to capture 45% of the domestic market and 20% of the OEM market ,servicing customers such as Perodua, Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Naza, Modenas, Yamaha and Nissan to name a few. This was achieved through the reliability of our product and first grade after sales service which makes us a preferred option to our clients. Our national success has since been acknowledged in the international market where we are exporting 25% of our product to 40 countries around the world at present. Again, our top notch service and trusted product has proven us to be the favored choice in the industry on par with other high standard brands in the international market. Our arduous effort in manufacturing superior products in line with the environmental conservation has gained us accolades in many forms. Amongst them are Selangor Industry Award 2002 and 2004, Ministry of International Trade (MITI) and Industry Award 2000, the ISO 14001:2004 as well as ISO9001:2008.
